Fruit Breeders, Do You Know Your CIOPORA Crop Leaders?


For some time now, CIOPORA Crop Section Fruit has been striving, attracting more members and interested parties every year. But growth also means diversification of interests of our membership. In order to be able to attend to needs of all and to better understand your concerns, CIOPORA has arranged for the election of Crop Leaders.


This role serves as an intermediary between breeders of certain crops and Head Technical Experts, who, in their turn, report to the CIOPORA Board and the Office by collecting your input as to the potential problems and needs.


During the AGM in Ghent, two more Crop Leaders were elected: Ms Debbie Hemingway (IFG), responsible for cherry, and Ms Catherine Snelling (Plant & Food Research), your Crop Leader for Kiwi. Check the full list of the Fruit Crop Leaders and find their contacts below:
