The CIOPORA Academy Wraps Up a Successful Workshop in Madrid

Twenty-four people from 9 countries gathered in Madrid this week for The CIOPORA Academy's Madrid Workshop on Worldwide IP for Plants. This was the fifth workshop of the educational program which was launched in late 2015.

The day-and-a-half event was divided into six "modules" or topics topped off with a networking dinner. The modules and speakers included:

Each participant successfully completed the workshop to receive their certificate of completion. Casey Whelan of Fall Creek Farm and Nursery out of Oregon, USA, received The CIOPORA Academy Certificate of Competence in IP. Whelan is the second participant to receive the certification after Emma Brown of Plant and Food Research, New Zealand.

The next CIOPORA Academy workshop is scheduled for April 23, 2018, in Ghent, Belgium.
